The two layouts QuickBooks accepts

3-column: Date, Description, Amount — one signed Amount column (negative for money out).

4-column: Date, Description, Credit, Debit — money in and money out in separate columns.

Formatting rules that matter

Use a single consistent date format. Keep amounts as plain numbers with no currency symbol or thousands separators. Remove repeated header rows and blank lines. BankFileFix applies all of these automatically.

Check your own file

Drop your bank export above. BankFileFix shows how it maps to the QuickBooks layout, and lets you adjust the column mapping if the auto-detection guessed wrong.
